I’m AMAZED that I’m still getting so many hits on my blog over this Grouply thing… I had all the fun I could stand w/Grouply 5 mos ago, and while I may revisit it at some distant point in future (doubtful, but one never knows), I determined in fairly short order that it’s not for me or for my groups, that’s all, the end.

Yeah, I know you said “end” but I had to THANK YOU for your Grouply postings. I had the same negative experience. Innocently joined and then everyone in every group I’m in got “invitations” to Grouply.
I was thinking, am I stupid? How could I have done such a thing? Oh yeah, I should have RTFM. But if there seem to be countless people who made the same mistakes.
Unless you’re very web-savvy, or you want to send emails to everyone on the planet, don’t get involved with Grouply.

Joe, I’m finding from the vast majority of people who’ve posted comments on my original Grouply post that your experience is pretty universal — join Grouply, spam the world — and that damage control in the aftermath is all but impossible… that alone s/b a powerful deterrent for most folks… ~~T
